Why should you sell here?

The Local Music Directory has been promoting musicians for over three years. In that time we've built our traffic and we now receive 25,000 to 30,000 visitors a month! Our new record store will add more content than ever before and continue to increase our numbers.

In addition when you sign up to be a part of our store you get free online marketing. That's right...FREE ONLINE MARKETING!!! We register your page, send out to news groups, email lists and more. Why do we do this? Because no one make's any money unless we all make money. Plainly and simply we're partners and we have to help one another.

Step one- Give us your info:

Click here and print your submission form. Fill it out and mail it to us along with 5 CDs. If you have T-shirts or other merchandise we'll sell that too!! We'll take a picture of your merchandise and add it to your section of the store.

When either the CD's or merchandise you sent sells we'll send you a check and let you know you when you need to send us more.

Go ahead and send us an email to let us know you've sent the CD. We'll keep an eye out for it!

Step 2- We take it from there:

After receiving your information and products we will construct you a web page within our website to sell your products from. The webpage will consist of images, sound clips, reviews, a link to your website and whatever other information you provided in the form you mailed us.

Next we market your new page on the web drawing traffic directly to it so we can both profit from your sales. No other store is willing to do this for you!!!

We put your webpage our online store galleries - remember, we get 25,000 to 30,000 people a month who love and want to buy independent music.

We take all online credit card orders for your products and ship them to your customers the very next day!

We notify you every time your CD is sold and give you the customer contact information so that you can utilize it in the future.

Step 3 - The money:

First you name your merchandise's selling price to whatever you want.

Our commission is $4 per item sold.

We pay out checks every two weeks!

There is a one time $25 charge to set up a new CD/merchandise page in our store, with everything we described above. (It takes us about an hour to put a new album, etc. into our system and website, that's why.)

That $25 lasts forever. There will never be another charge for as long as you breathe oxygen (and even past then).

Step 4 - We keep it simple!!

There is no contract and this is non-exclusive. You free to do whatever you want in your musical endeavors and are under no obligation to us whatsoever.

You don't need to have your CDs shrink-wrapped. You can sell a homemade CD-R here, but it must look professional.
